This very sharp, highly original Mercedes Benz 420SL has covered 78,700 miles from new and was first registered on the 18th April 1986 and supplied new to a London based Company, Business Systems Ltd. In 1991 the SL was sold to a lady initially based in South West London who kept the 420SL for over 25 years. The SL had the private registration mark VL 4 on the vehicle and in 2007 the car was taken to Germany and garaged in Salach before coming back to the UK ahead of being sold in 2016/2017. The SL has been with its most recent owner since 2020 and covered less than 1000 miles over this period.

The 420SL comes with an impressive service history. In the first two years the SL was serviced by Cambridge Mercedes Benz main agents at 7274, 11764 and 20142 miles. Greenoaks Mercedes Benz then carried out the next three services at 24337, 30950 and 35002 miles. London main agents serviced the SL in 1991 at 43521 miles and regular servicing continued with its lady owner with stamps in the service book at 54565, 63314, 67019, 67913, 68316, 68701 and 70659 miles by a German based company. From 2008 to 2016 the SL was serviced by a local garage in Germany called Puscar, and on return to the UK in 2017 Mercedes Benz experts Roger Edwards (Motors) serviced the car at 71982 and also fitted a brand new soft top and seals. In 2020 before being sold the recent owner, the SL was serviced by Mercedes Benz Aylesbury at 77104 miles and during 2022 Classic Automobiles Worldwide serviced the car at 77460 miles.

Over half the cars mileage from new was carried out in its first four years and its clear this is a car that has been maintained with no expense spare over its lifetime. The condition is commensurate of a highly original, exceptionally cared for car and it still retains exceptional bodywork with absolutely no corrosion concerns.
