1966 | Mercedes-Benz 250 SE

I had this 250 SE Coupe, which was delivered in Germany on 14 April 1966, in my garage a short time ago and it was sold directly by the owner. Ironically, the new owner has offered it to me as an agent, which makes me very happy.

The vehicle has a complete service booklet for the first 4 years, in which the owner covered approx. 90,000 kilometres. At that time, the car was still painted in ‘158 white-grey’. No history is available after that. However, the car must have been repainted to ‘462 beige’ before 1995, as photos and invoices from an extensive restoration are available for the years 1995-1996, on which the car is already wearing its current elegant color.

The 250SE came from Germany to Austria in 2011, where I saw it for the first time in 2023. The owner at the time had even extended the garage so that the beautiful car had a place under the roof.

In the course of a reverse transaction, the 250SE came to its current owner, who does not use the car and is therefore offering it for sale. A §57a/TÜV inspection has been carried out and is valid until April 2026.

The exterior of the vehicle is in good condition. The paintwork is even, the chrome is generally good. The interior is still in its original condition and shows strong signs of wear. With the exception of the driver's seat, which is torn, this patina can be perfectly preserved by a professional detailer. The sunroof does not currently work.

The engine runs quietly and smoothly, the automatic gearbox shifts smoothly. The driving experience is dignified and elegant, as you would probably expect from a car like this.
