Motore e meccanica tutta originale con carburatori alti SU, senza dadi anteriori sui coperchi delle valvole, senza sportellini (vents) laterali, come le prime 240 prodotte con carrozzeria intera in alluminio (questa è acciaio e alluminio). Questa XK120 dell'8/1950 è una delle prime con carrozzeria in acciaio e con cofano anteriore e posteriore e sportelli in alluminio, il che la rende molto interessante.
