De Aston Martin DB11 moest de legendarische DB9 opvolgen en is inmiddels een waardige opvolger die al bijna net zo legendarisch is. De beroemde auto-journalist Jeremy Clarkson (bekend van Top Gear/The Grand Tour) zei over de auto zelfs: "Als je ooit in Parijs bent, op een feestje om 3 uur 's nachts, en je je plotseling herinnert dat je de volgende middag in een tennistoernooi in Monte Carlo speelt, dan is dit de auto voor de klus. Je zou het gevoel krijgen alsof je net uit het bad was gekomen. Het is niet alleen een mooi gezicht. Dit is een extreem goede auto. Fenomenaal goed." Een mooie samenvatting van hoe ook wij de DB11 ervaren. De DB11 werd compleet nieuw ontwikkeld in samenwerking met Daimler AG waardoor de kwaliteit ten opzicht van zijn voorgang een grote stap voorwaarts maakte. Het door ons aangeboden exemplaar beschikt over de 4.0-liter V8 motor met maar liefst 510 pk, waarmee de auto in 4,0 seconden naar 100 km/u accelereert en een topsnelheid bereikt van ruim 300 km/u. Naast de sportieve rijeigenschappen is de auto ook zeer comfortabel en uitgerust met een scala aan opties, zoals een surround camerasysteem, parkeersensoren rondom, memory-seats, elektrisch bedienbare middenarmsteun, stoelverwarming en -koeling, keyless entry en ga zo maar door. Het is hierdoor de ultieme 2+2 zits GT die ook - in tegenstelling tot veel andere GT's - ook prima dagelijks te gebruiken is. Dit exemplaar is nieuw geleverd in Duitsland en is door de eerste eigenaar zeer smaakvol samengesteld: een diep zwarte kleur met rode remklauwen, zwart lederen interieur en subtiele rode stiksels in het leder. De carbon spoilers rondom maken het geheel compleet. Onderscheidende opties zijn onder meer het Bang & Olufsen audiosysteem, mocht het fantastische V8-geluid gaan vervelen. De Aston Martin DB11 volgde in 2016 na 11 jaar de DB9 op en is het eerste model ontwikkeld in samenwerking met Daimler AG (Mercedes-Benz): een bijna volledig aluminium onderstel, een nieuw uiterlijk en een nieuw en luxe interieur voorzien van vele opties, die bij de DB9 voor veel mensen nog te wensen over liet vanwege gedateerde en weinig hoogwaardige Volvo-elementen. In 2017 werd de DB11 - naast de V12-uitvoering - ook leverbaar met een nieuwe 4.0-liter V8 motor met dubbele turbo afkomstig, van Mercedes-AMG. De prestaties van de V8-uitvoering doen nauwelijks onder voor die van de V12-uitvoering, maar zorgen wel voor een ruim 100 kg lager gewicht, wat de wendbaarheid en rijeigenschappen ten goede komt. Het model is prachtig met zijn lage en brede vormgeving, kenmerkende grille en futuristische achterzijde. Uiteraard is de gewichtsverdeling en aerodynamica van grote invloed geweest op de ontwerpers achter de auto. De auto heeft nagenoeg een 50/50 gewichtsverdeling en beschikt dan ook over sublieme rijeigenschappen. De V8-motor is gekoppeld aan een 8-traps automatische transmissie die ook kan worden bediend met schakelflippers aan het stuur. Het model is geproduceerd tot 2023 en is nu al een klassieker in wording.

The Aston Martin DB11 was supposed to succeed the legendary DB9 and is now a worthy successor that is already almost as legendary. Famed automotive journalist Jeremy Clarkson (known from Top Gear/The Grand Tour) even said of the car, ‘If you are ever in Paris, at a party at 3am, and you suddenly remember that you are playing in a tennis tournament in Monte Carlo the next afternoon, this is the car for the job. The DB11 was completely newly developed in collaboration with Daimler AG, which meant that the quality compared to its predecessor took a big step forward. The example we offered features the 4.0-litre V8 engine with a whopping 510 hp, enabling the car to accelerate to 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds and reach a top speed of over 300 km/h. Besides its sporty driving characteristics, the car is also very comfortable and equipped with an array of options, such as a surround camera system, parking sensors all around, memory seats, electric centre armrest, seat heating and cooling, keyless entry and so on. This makes it the ultimate 2+2-seater GT that is also - unlike many other GTs - perfectly usable on a daily basis. This example was delivered new in Germany and was very tastefully put together by the first owner: a deep black colour with red brake calipers, black leather interior and subtle red stitching in the leather. General information about the Aston Martin DB11
The Aston Martin DB11 succeeded the DB9 in 2016 after 11 years, and is the first model developed in collaboration with Daimler AG (Mercedes-Benz): an almost all-aluminium chassis, a new look and a new and luxurious interior equipped with many options, which left a lot to be desired in the DB9 for many people due to dated and low-quality Volvo elements.
