This Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint 1300 is a touring coupé suitable for everyday use. Designed by an alliance of designers from Bertone & Ghia, the response from the public quickly exceeded the initially planned number of units many times over. After Ghia left the company, Bertone was forced to transform his workshop into a modern car factory in order to fulfil all the orders.

This Giulietta 1300 Sprint was produced in 1962 and registered for the first time in Rome with the licence plate ROMA 530786. It was only in 2019 that this Alfa Romeo was sold to its 2nd owner, also in Italy, and became part of a brilliant Alfa Romeo collection. To this day, this vehicle still bears its original registration number.

The Alfa Romeo Giulietta is a perfect 2+2 sporty touring coupé, with the emphasis here on ‘touring’. The ‘matching’ twin-camshaft engine is responsible for 80 stable hp and was good for a respectable top speed of well over 160 km/h even back then, supported by a harmoniously tuned 4-speed gearbox with an excellent gear ratio. The suspension is comfortably sporty and the grooved drum brakes decelerate steadfastly even at higher speeds. We are enchanted by the original, untouched condition. The paintwork was certainly renewed once in the 1980s, but the overall condition of the body, the chassis, the underbody, the interior, the chrome ... everything is simply stunningly original. Of course, this Alfa has a touch of patina, but to date we have never been able to offer an Alfa Romeo that has earned the title of ‘untouched time capsule’. No hidden accident damage, no dented bumper, no signs of rust, no attempts to repair the bodywork, excellent fit of doors, bonnet and boot. Simply perfect condition. Get in and, after an appropriate warm-up phase, simply drive off with pleasure, enjoying the contemporary Italian aura without remorse, in this beautiful Alfa Romeo coupé. Even a layman will immediately realise that this vehicle has spent most of its life in Rome and has been looked after with great care and understanding.
