Mercedes-Benz 190 SL, year 1957. Colour blueish green (‘Blaugrün’ colour code DB268) combined with a beige leather interior and beige carpet. This stunning Mercedes 190 SL was sold new in Germany. The car was purchased by the current owner in September 1995. In the period 1996-1999 the automobile was extensively restored by specialists; the build was completed by Mercedes-Benz specialist Peters in Itterbeck Germany. This beautiful Mercedes 190 SL is in an excellent top condition showing all the original details! The restoration and the build were executed very well, the bodywork shows a crisp panel fit, wonderful paintwork, and the interior looks a picture. Under the bonnet everything looks beautifully detailed. The matte black paint on the inside of the bonnet and the boot come close to the original matte finish. The original spot welds are still visible under the paint which is according to original specifications. This fine 190 SL drives and handles beautifully, and the car is fitted with a wonderful and correct style Becker Europa radio. This Mercedes-Benz 190 SL shows only very slight traces of previous use, a great find for the Mercedes collector and enthusiast. Last february the car was prepared for the summer; 4 new Michelin tires have been fitted, the complete brake-system has been overhauled and a new radiator has been fitted. Ready to drive!
