1979 | Mercedes-Benz 350 SE

A very nice example of a W116 S-Class, this 350SE from the tail end of the model’s production run is finished in Astral Silver with contrasting navy blue velour and has covered only 79k miles from new backed up by a great service history.

Supplied new by Motorworld Garages of Kidlington, Oxfordshire. The specification includes air conditioning, electric windows, sunroof and automatic transmission.

The first owner, a Mr Fabb, kept the car for 30 years, loved it certainly and evidently always garaged it.

It has been in the hands of several enthusiasts since and was featured in Classic & Sports Car W116 feature in 2023 (magazine included).

As you can see from the photographs, the bodywork and chrome is in very nice condition and the interior, well that is nothing short of spectacular – you never see a W116 interior this nice – the velour is free of fade or wear, the wood is dark, rich and glossy; the interior still feels new.

The steel wheels wear recent Blockley period-style radials.

Recently serviced, new brake hoses, new seat belts (x4) and has a long MoT (with no advisories) despite not needing an MoT.

Comes with its books and a very good service history with 16 noted services.

Drives very nicely indeed with great performance, a smooth quiet ride and velour-lined luxury from that beautiful interior.
