Description

Veritas - reliability! Under this name, the racing drivers Ernst Loof, Schorsch Meier and the commercial manager Lorenz Dietrich founded the company ‘Veritas - Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Sport und Rennwagenbau’ in 1947.

Initially still under the name BMW-Veritas, high-performance and very successful racing and touring sports cars were built as one-offs using pre-war engines, mostly from the BMW 328 with 1.5 and 2-litre BMW engines, with the simplest of means. Hand-built legends.

Based on the Veritas frame of the 3rd series, a 2-seater racing sports car was built in the style of the BMW 328 Touring NSKK Roadster, which was later used very successfully in various races.

From 1982 to 1990, the car was extensively restored with great attention to detail and fitted with a new aluminium outer skin. In 2015, the newly manufactured bodywork was severely damaged when a carburettor fire was extinguished, so the original bodywork manufactured in 1949 was restored and reinstalled. The bodywork was not repainted afterwards, so you can see the high quality of the restoration work. The vehicle has been restored to its original condition.

The car has an H licence plate and is therefore approved for road use. Finding a Veritas RS is very difficult due to the small number of vehicles produced. A racing car with a high degree of authenticity and a traceable history is a speciality. Original substance is simply not reproducible.
