Description

The Triumph, a true British classic with incredible driving pleasure and a great history, is for sale. It is a real roadster with a legendary and attractive design and a weight of well under 1000 kg, a characterful four-cylinder with sufficient power, a beautiful sound and driving characteristics that make every drive a real pleasure. The Triumph also has an overdrive, so you can feel real joy even on long cross-country journeys. The light blue body, the shiny chrome and the dark blue interior make it a real eye-catcher.

The Triumph TR 3 offered here was built on November 1st, 1956. It is an LHD for North American export, which is equipped with disc brakes on the front wheels and the more powerful engine with 100 BHP, both of which were only available through the facelift from October 1956.

The Triumph was registered in America from 1956 to 1997 before it was bought by a collector and shipped to the Netherlands. The Triumph was then restored by specialists at great expense over several years in the Netherlands and completed around 2001. The elaborate restoration is documented with an entire album full of photos and a file folder with invoices.

The Triumph has been in our possession since 2013, is regularly driven on trips or vintage car rallies and is extensively maintained. It is still in a fantastically beautiful condition today. The hood, the short and long tonneau cover and the side curtains are made of dark blue mohair, and the Triumpgh also has a lugage rack and a Moto-Lita wooden steering wheel. The original spoke steering wheel is also part of the vehicle and of course the Triumph also has "matching numbers".

The Triumph is Mille Miglia eligible and took part in the legendary event in 2012. Ultimately, a real opportunity to purchase a thoroughbred British sports car that is rarely offered in this condition and this fantastic color combination.
