Description

Anyone looking for a quick and compact 4 door sedan would often look for a BMW 2 Series or an Alfa Romeo Alfetta. However, there was a British alternative in the form of Triumph Dolomite Sprint. Equipped with a 16 valve 2 litre engine (often referred to as the first mass produced 4 valve engine) and double carburetors the engine produced 130 bhp resulting in a performance which at least matched the competitors. With rear wheel drive and excellent road holding, the car is a sporty companion and the 0-100 kph time of 8.4 seconds and top speed of 192 kph are still quite impressive figures. Add to that a generous level of equipment and the oh so British vinyl roof you have a very special and quite rare car. The model also performed with sucess in motorsport – especially in the British Touring Car Championship with championship win in 1974 and 1975.

This example was imported from Portugal by an enthusiast. It went through a light restauration and always kept strictly original. The car presents so nicely in the brown color, which is so typical for the period and the cabin is equally in excellent condition. Plenty of wood on the well equiped dashboard completes the impression of a real Q-car. The engine pulls nicely throughout the gears, the transmission is equipped with overdrive and all in all the Dolomite feels like a proper drivers car. Add to that this undefined British upper-class feeling (although not exactly a Bentley or Aston Martin) you never doubt that this car has a certain upper class appeal.

Car comes with Danish title and is ready for new adventures.
