Description

First registered in December 1936 and purchased by my grand-father in 1950, this car has been within our family ever since.

The car was used initially as the family car and then intermittently until my grand-father retired, when it was laid up in 1972 whilst he focused on restoring another Railton.

The car hasn’t really been used since this time, but has been a long-term retirement restoration project for both my grand-father and father, both of whom have now passed away.

The current mileage is 55k however the engine as fitted has been completely restored and runs very smoothly having done less than 10 miles since it was rebuilt. Other modifications since new include the fitting of modern indicators and brake lights, an overdriven gearbox and power brakes.

The current condition of the car is that it is in an effectively complete road-worthy condition, but it does require some minor finishing

There is a large selection of spare parts to be included with the sale of this car.

The car is currently located in Hampshire, UK.
