Description

  • C02 : Delivered new in the USA

  • Beloved 911 3.2 with G50 gearbox

  • Very well maintained and accident free

  • Full history with invoices & books

Starting in 1963 with the original 911, Porsche has produced a line of six-cylinder rear-engine sportscars that could compete with much more powerful cars thanks to their low weight and superior handling. Introduced in 1984, the Carrera 3.2 was the last iteration of the classic 911 before the large changes of the 964. The Carrera 3.2 produced 231 horsepower at 5,900rpm, which was delivered through the desirable Getrag G50 transaxle from the 1987 production year and onwards.

True to Porsche's reputation, the Carrera 3.2 offered the unique experience of driving pleasure and performance without sacrificing comfort and usability. Due to their robust construction and strong owner's groups, these 1980s 911s are great cars to be enjoyed and driven.

This 911 3.2 Convertible

Completed at Porsche during September of 1987 as a G50 equipped car, this spectacular Carrera 3.2 convertible was finished just as it appears today, painted in the loved Guards Red and finished with a black interior. Fitted with desirable optional extras including the electric soft-top, the tonneau cover and the nice 16" Fuchs wheels; the new Carrera also featured the much-improved Getrag G50 5-speed manual transaxle.

Sold new in the United States the Carrera remained in its home country until 2012, when it was soon acquired by a Belgian caretaker, and stayed in Belgium ever since with all owners proven by the documents on file. True to its original specification, this Porsche has been consistently maintained since new. Stamps in the original service book document its early dealer service history, while an extensive file of records details its continued care through to the present day. The car comes with a binder with old invoices dating back to its early years including old Title and Belgian registration documents.

Today just over 80,000 miles are recorded on the odometer and documented by the paperwork and Manual. Inside and out, the Porsche is very true to original and impeccably well-preserved with very light signs of use. The factory-applied VIN decal remain intact in the hood along with other factory decals and ID plates. The car drives incredibly well, as would be expected from a well-serviced and maintained Porsche.

This matching example - of course - still has the factory undercarriage wax protection visible. Thanks to its careful ownership and lower mileage, the interior exhibits only light signs of use, underscoring both the quality of these cars and the meticulous care it has received. The seats, door panels, switches, dashboard, and trim all present beautifully, showing only minimal wear. We can see the original Blaupunkt radio installed.

Our paint measurements shows a partial respray - with original paint on doors and engine lid - with no signs of body fillers nor is there an accident repair known or visible. The red paint is very glossy and depth is incredible and measurements are even throughout.

The car is now offered for sale on behalf of our client who's only selling because he'll be upgrading to a 911 Speedster. Offered with the original owner's manuals in pouch, period Porsche information leaflet, Porsche Service book, space saver spare & tonneau cover,...  this is really a well preserved 911 Carrera 3.2! Finding a well preserved example has become increasingly difficult and this G50 convertible is an opportunity not to be missed!

The car currently has Belgian registration and is sold on behalf of a client.
