Porsche 911 2.7-litre Targa J-Program 1977

- J-Program: last production year of the 2.7-litre 911 which means car features most (technical) improvements
- Excellent driving characteristics
- Powerful 3.0-litre engine with 204 hp
- 5-speed manual transmission
- Targa roof

A dream for every Porsche enthusiast: a 911. Then again, this one is a Targa and one from the last production year of the 2.7-litre: 1977. This model year Porsche calls the ‘J-program’ and is truly the best of both worlds. Because many improvements were made with this version, especially on a technical level, it is a much-loved version. Classic looks, but also a wonderful mile-eater that allows you to cross Europe at high speed without any problems. Cruising along the Côte d' Azur with your head in the sun is also possible thanks to the Targa roof. The combination with a 3.0-litre engine from the 1980s 911 SC with the 915 gearbox make it completely reliable. The powerful engine combined with many lightweight parts makes speeds of over 250 km/h possible. For instance, the front cover, tailgate, rear bumper and a few more parts are made of plastic, making the car weigh barely 1,000 kilos. Because the suspension is lowered, the car drives very sporty and agile, making it a joy to drive in the mountains. Thanks to the beautiful light blue paint, Pepita interior and Fuchs rims, the 911 is not only a joy to drive, but also a picture to behold.

The car was delivered new in the sunny climate of the United States and is completely rust and damage-free. The bodywork has been galvanised ‘ex-factory’, giving it long-term protection. The following has been done to the car:

- Repainted
- Front with steel screens brought back to ‘longhood’
- Remanufactured 3.0 engine and transmission fitted
- Interior restored
- Targa roof completely restored
- Suspension lowered for more sportiness (speed bumps nevertheless no problem)
- Fuchs rims in ‘Frosted’ look fitted

In short: a Porsche 911 that is actually the car for Porsche drivers looking for classic looks, but not the rust problems and breakdown susceptibility of older and weaker models. ‘There is no substitute’!

General information about the Porsche 911 (production years 1974 - 1977)
The Porsche 911: probably the most famous and legendary sports car ever made. Introduced in 1963 as the successor to the 356 and with more than 60 years of production still in production: an ongoing model that is constantly being developed and evolved in a style like no other car. The 911 is a relatively light and streamlined 2+2 rear-wheel-drive car with the engine at the rear. In 1973, the first major oil crisis occurred, forcing car manufacturers to focus attention on fuel economy. Porsche therefore came out with the 2.7-litre 911 in 1974, which also focused on fuel economy. The manual transmission version was optionally available with 5-speed transmission. In the production years, the model was further and further developed, resulting in optimal technical performance in the final 1977 model year.
