- Beautiful and rare colour "Anthracite Metallic"
- Optional MB-Tex upholstery

What a fine driving car: this powerful convertible coupled to a 4-speed automatic transmission. The car features the 1980 newly developed aluminium 3.8-litre V8 engine and was delivered new in California in 1982. The rare dark grey metallic colour is rare and looks modern. The 'crown cork' wheels are fitted with good Michelin tyres. The car has many distinctive options: cruise control, central door locking, electric antenna, air conditioning and electric window controls. The interior further features the well-known and extremely robust MB-Tex, a radio/CD player and a centre armrest. The interior is otherwise in clean condition. The soft top has been renewed and is in clean condition. The car is a versatile car to drive, it lends itself well to touring and holidays thanks to its high level of comfort. But it also caters to the sporty driver, with 204 hp and excellent handling, the car is smooth and agile. Many people don't know that the C107 (coupé) had a successful racing career. In short, a timeless beauty in exceptional condition which is an addition to any collection or car enthusiast.

General information about the Mercedes-Benz SL R107
With 18 production years, the Mercedes-Benz SL R107 is the longest-running series produced by Mercedes (after the G-Class) from 1971 to 1989. That says something about the model's success. As such, it had to be a worthy successor to the W113 Pagoda, which in turn was the successor to the legendary W198 300 SL. In production time, the R107 was Mercedes' only deliverable convertible and available with various engines from a 2.8-litre 6-cylinder to a 5.6-litre V8. Within the R107 series, the 380 SL was the successor to the 350 SL and featured a new, aluminium V8 engine. A nice optical detail of the car are the ribbed rear lights: these were designed to block dirt and keep the lighting optimal. In terms of safety, the car was way ahead of its time: it featured crumple zones and a reinforced windscreen that was supposed to protect the occupants if it flipped over. The R107 SL is still a timeless, reliable and sought-after classic.
