Description

For sale is an exceptionally well-maintained 1968 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL Pagoda, originally delivered in Switzerland, resplendent in the rare and elegant Blue Metallic 906 color. The original Swiss vehicle registration document is available, making it easy to reimport this classic back to Switzerland without major hassle.

This model is in its fourth ownership and has been with its last, exceptionally attentive owner for 18 years. History of the Series
The top model of the SL series W 113 produced 170 hp from its 2.8 l displacement. As the successor to the 190 SL series, it fulfilled the wishes of many customers for more power and comfort. Due to the smooth running of the large in-line six-cylinder engine, the Pagoda also offered exceptionally good cruising qualities, making it a pleasant companion on rallies & trips.

The safety measures, which were new and trend-setting for the time, ensure a relaxed feeling. These included a defused interior without corners and edges, seat belts as special equipment and defined crumple zones. The designation "pagoda" was given to it by the vernacular, as the concave roof resembles temples from the Far East - pagodas, in fact. Yet the shape was originally intended rationally as an improvement in the amount of space available.

The vehicle is located in our showroom in Stuttgart-Plieningen, close to the airport/trade fair. A test drive and an inspection on the car lift are possible by arrangement.

The sale takes place on request with new inspection, service and TÜV. We also offer a wide range of accessories for your new dream car. If required, we can also deliver the vehicle to you in a closed trailer.

Opening hours: Mon - Sat by appointment
