Description

This vehicle was delivered to the first owner in 1968 via the Mercedes-Benz AG branch in Düsseldorf.

In the years 1968 - 2002, the vehicle then changed hands twice and was registered in March 2002 to the penultimate owner, who lovingly maintained the vehicle until 2022 (extensive history available). In 1978, the car was fitted with a replacement engine in a Mercedes-Benz workshop at 133762 kilometres.

After the sale to the current owner in 09.2022, the vehicle was brought to us for restoration and overhauled in our workshops within 12 months for just under € 30,000.00.

The following work was carried out

Overhaul of the steering gear

Underbody blasted & painted with dry ice

Dimming controller of the speedometer replaced

Heating valve replaced

Sliding rails and seals of the window guide renewed

Rubber bearing of the gearshift linkage replaced

Light units replaced

Seat belts fitted

Entire body checked for corrosion, various parts replaced, including wheel arch liner/wheel assembly hl & hr.

Vehicle completely repainted

Soft top renewed

Steel rims renewed

Maintenance with replacement of all oils and filters

Invoices for a further € 36,500.00 (1978 - 2022) are available

With a heavy heart, the current owner has to sell the vehicle due to lack of time and has commissioned us to market it. The sale is therefore on behalf of the customer.

We would be pleased to present this gem to you personally, but please make an appointment by telephone.
