Description
The 190 SL is an icon of the 1950s and is formally related to the 300 SL ‘Gullwing’ and the 300 SL Roadster. It has always cut a fine figure on the boulevards of Nice and Monte-Carlo as well as on the Champs Élysées, Fifth Avenue and in Beverly Hills.
Even after decades, the perfect proportions of the 190 SL have lost none of their extraordinary appeal. You could buy this dream car in 1958 for a basic price of DM 16,500 - a standard VW Beetle cost around DM 3800. Experts and onlookers alike are constantly marvelling at the perfectly rounded shapes of the bodywork.
This car was delivered new to Switzerland in 1956 and remained with its owner until 2002. The SL was extensively restored in Switzerland until 2007 and then sold to its second owner in Germany, who still owns it today. A large folder with invoices documents its complete history. It has been maintained by us since 2012. A service has just been carried out and the car can be used immediately.
