Description

aserati Khamsin, year 1975, matching number

History:

The production version of the Maserati Khamsin was first presented at the 1973 Geneva Motor Show. This sports car caused a sensation from the start. The breathtaking self-supporting body was designed by Marcello Gandini for Bertone. This wedge-shaped sports car, named after the desert wind "Khamsin", has polarized optics from the start. The glazed rear section is reminiscent of the Lamborghini Espada, also a Gandini design. Technically, the Khamsin is largely based on the predecessor Ghibli, with some modifications such as Installation of double wishbones. The legendary 4.9 liter engine was installed, which already achieved sensational driving values in the Ghibli. Citroen contributed sophisticated components for the braking system and steering. A total of 421 copies of this icon were produced in the almost 10-year construction period.

The Maserati Khamsin offered here is fully documented, including the extended Maserati Certificate in the large Maserati Classiche box. This includes, among other things

The delivery color was "celeste", but it is currently in "nero uni", a color in which the angular wedge shape is particularly impressive. The "matching numbers" engine and gearbox work perfectly. They have always been inspected by selected specialist workshops. The interior is immaculate, the body and chassis are very good. From our point of view, the Khamsin is still completely undervalued and, in addition to enormous driving fun, it certainly also offers above-average potential for appreciation. The spectacular design in connection with the breathtaking soundscape is unmatched to this day.
