1957 | Lancia Aurelia B20 GT 2500
Description
The Lancia Aurelia B20 GT is one of the most iconic post-war touring cars, combining the elegance of Italian design with remarkable engineering. Designed by Vittorio Jano, in partnership with PininFarina, it features clean, fluid lines that emphasize aerodynamics and its sporting intentions.
Under the hood of the Lancia Aurelia B20 GT is a 2.5-liter V6 engine, an engineering marvel for its time as it was one of the first production V6 engines. With 112 horsepower and a top speed of around 185 km/h, this engine gave the Aurelia an impressive power-to-weight ratio for the 1950s.
Modernity also extended to the chassis, with independent suspension on the rear axle and 4-speed transaxle gearbox, this Lancia quickly became a constant presence in prestigious endurance events such as the Mille Miglia or the Targa Florio.
This Lancia Aurelia was sold new in Portugal in August 1957. Having undergone a total restoration, it is in excellent condition and ready to enjoy. It also benefits from the so-called ‘Nardi kit’, consisting of Weber carburetors, improved intake and more aggressive valve control.
