Description

Kellison was an American entrepreneur who started making and selling fiberglass kit cars in the late 50’s. When he closed his business, he made around 1000 bodies. A Kellison is a rare car!

Of this J4 model around 300 were made. This Kellison is titled as a 1973 Pontiac for the car that donated its 389 engine and 4-speed to the project. Underneath the car has a Jaguar XK120 front suspension with a GM-sourced solid axle in back.  The car sounds to have been a mid-to-late 1970’s build and features a modified roofline several inches higher than the impractically low originals.  the modified roofline of this example allows both better proportions, more practical door apertures and a roomier cabin. The custom Targa top is another cool touch. Panel fit appears to be exceptional for an old fiberglass bodied kit car and is demonstrative of a lot of patience and effort on the original builder’s part. A swing-away steering column should allow for easier ingress/egress.

The car could use a new paint job, but it starts and drives very well.
