Description

The brand new super sports car from Jaguar in 1948 was the XK 120 Roadster. A top speed of 120 mph sounded incredible back then! The further development was called the XK 140.

Our Jaguar XK 140 Coupé was delivered in New York in 1956 and has been in Germany since 2014. A specialist workshop transformed the classic car into a ‘beast’ from 2017 to 2024. Hardly any changes can be recognised from the outside, but as soon as you start the sports car, you hear a very special sound. The engine with the 3.8-litre block, 4.2-litre cylinder head and 3 SU carburettors as well as forged titanium connecting rods promises high torque and plenty of power. The TREMEC five-speed gearbox and a limited slip differential ensure that the power on offer is handled well. Many other technical details such as a new wiring harness, aluminium seat shells, specially manufactured coloured windows, aluminium rims with central locking (D-Type design) and an aluminium fuel tank make this classic car a unique experience. The effort was great, also financially, but the result is extraordinary. You have to experience it on a test drive.

EXTRAS: 3 carburettors; electrical power steering; 5-speed gearbox TEMEC; disc brakes front; new wiring harness; aluminium seat shells; specially manufactured coloured windows; perforeated rims with central locking (D-Type design); aluminium fuel tank and much more
