Description

The Alloy bodied XK120, the earliest and rarest of the XK family, was in many ways a separate model to the later, steel-bodied production XK120 as the differences were so many. Largely hand made, almost no two cars are the same. Only 240 were built, 183 Left Hand Drive and 57 as Right Hand Drive (the factory occasionally converting from one to the other in period).

This superb example, chassis 670107, was a LHD example supplied new to Thomas Plimley in Canada, an agent well-known for only selling British automobiles. The first owner was  Nathaniel Bailey (1902–1978), who was the founder of the highly successful White Spot Restaurant chain, inventor of the first ‘carhop tray’ and graciously allowed the Nat Bailey Stadium in Vancouver to be named after him.

670107 spent its life in Canada until 1988 until it was bought by renowned Swedish collector Dag Arne Skjærholt, who took it back to Sweden. Skjærholt held onto the car until 2006, before committing it to Guy Broad for a complete restoration. This was done to the very highest standards, and back to absolute originality. Matching numbers, other than a period correct head, it is one of the best restored Alloy XK120’s in the world. Featured on Norwegian national television and in the Norwegian national press as well as a series of features in national and international Jaguar XK publications, this superb example comes with a mass of paperwork and restoration photos.

Finished in its original colours, it is one of the best examples available and of superb quality.

Please note, that it is registered in Sweden and thus not UK taxes paid
