The Jaguar Mark V (pronounced mark five) is a luxury car built from 1948 to 1951 by Jaguar Cars Ltd in Coventry, England. It was available as a four-door saloon and as a two-door convertible known as the Drop Head Coupé. Both versions could seat five adults. It was the first Jaguar to have independent front suspension, the first to have hydraulic brakes, the first to have spats (mudguard skirts), the first to be specifically designed to be produced in both right- and left-hand drive configurations, the first to have centre disc brakes, the first to have smaller, wider 16" balloon tyres, the first to be offered with sealed headlamps and flashing indicators for the important US market, and the last model to use pushrod engines. A 3½-litre car tested by The Motor magazine in 1949 had a top speed of 90.7 mph (146.0 km/h) and could accelerate from 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in 20.4 seconds. Autocar described the steering as light at all speeds and free from road reaction, and said the new suspension had great merits in the areas of comfort and stability, with performance figures that were very satisfactory. Jaguar's test engineer Norman Dewis regularly used a Mark V. At the time he was asked about the top speed he had seen in his car, he noted that he had once verified 90 mph, but that the thrill of the moment did not encourage him to repeat the feat. (The speedometer is in front of the passenger.) Fuel consumption was recorded at 18.2 miles per imperial gallon (15.5 L/100 km). The test car cost £1263 including taxes.

This Jaguar we present here is finished in Off-White with a beautiful red leather upholstery. What is also striking in the interior is the beautiful woodwork with the speedometer and all the other gauges in it. It is a 3 position convertible with the roof attached in three positions, closed, half open and fully open. The tool box is located in the tailgate. This is beautifully positioned. The engine is a straight-6 engine with a capacity of 3.5 L and has sufficient power. a beautiful touring car for a beautiful spring or summer day.
