Description

The French automotive company Delahaye was started in 1894 by an industrial engineer Emile Delahaye. He promoted his cars by racing them himself at car events. Emile was born in 1843 and became an automotive pioneer in France. Studying engineering at the Arts et Metiers Paris Tech and started his early career at the Crail Engineering works in Belgium known for manufacturing Steam Engines. The Delahaye 235 was presented at the 1951 Paris Auto Salon and is still amongst the most desirable items for the connoisseur’s collection. This beautiful example is finished in Black with a silver flash. Reupholstered in silver grey leather. Total re-chrome, new wire wheels and tyres and the underside has been retreated. Engine and drive train in good working order. UK registered. ULEZ compliant.
