What a beautiful spec on this DS. Perhaps the ultimate Series III DS - Why? The ultimate engine: the 2347cc Fuel-injected 141 horsepower engine mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Delivered as a luxury Pallas in Gris Nacré, a Black roof and 'Fauve' Brown leather interior. It also features the Jaeger instruments and big sliding roof.

This is DS is from the final year of production 1975 and sold new in the Netherlands. Registered on the 15th of July 1975 on numberplate 24-EN-25 which it still wears. The car has been out of road useage for a longer time and was discovered in a barn. A Citroen Specialist, Auto Renaissance from Amsterdam discovered the car and bought it for his collection. Between 2021 and 2022 it was restored in order for a customer. It's been restored beautiful, has driven a couple of hundred test kilometers and is now available at Oldenzaal Classics. The car was extensively restored and brought back to life. Restored by marque specialists to a very high level. 
The car is a 1975 DS23ie ('ie' for 'Injection Electronique' = D-Jetronic electronic fuel injection) Pallas painted in beautiful AC095 Gris Nacré - A late and beautiful silver-grey. In 1972 the DX5 engine came to market, the 2,3 liter making 141 horsepower through D-Jetronic fuel injection. Mated to a manual 5-Speed gearbox perhaps the best travel companion. Its a Pallas model ofcourse: The most luxury variant of them all. With beautiful leather seats, doorpanels covered in leather, nice velours carpets. Many stainless steel parts on the sills, doors and jambs. Different trim and lights make it very classy and chic. A rare and interesting extra are the Jaeger instruments: 2 small panels with 2 instruments each. Oil-pressure, oil temperature, voltage and amperage. Another great extra is the big sliding roof. An option that was available at the time, in this case modernized. A new, electric opening roof. No wind-noise when driving closed, and a near-Convertible feeling when driving open. A great option to have and use.

The car has been restored completely in 2021-22 by specialists here in the Netherlands. The bodywork has been performed by DS-Bodywork specialists. The result: A very straight body, good panelgaps and a really proper looking Pallas. The chassis was repainted in satin black, for the correct finish. The body in Gris Nacré and the roof in AC200 Black. The car was assembled beautiful and with lots of brand new parts. The bumpers have been polished to a mirror finish. The same goes for the stainless-steel trim around the roof lining and sides. It has new strips on the doors and the Pallas strips were polished to as-new condition. The headlights have been repainted and fitted with new trim. The wheels have been repainted and fitted with new Michelin Classic tires and polished stainless Pallas hubcaps. It has new mirrors, brand new taillights and all new weatherstrips/gaskets. This car makes a like new impression! Beautiful paint a very straight body and correctly put together with all new parts and trim.

Also the interior has been restored completely. Redone leather seats and rear seat in the correct 'Fauve' (Tan) color. A beautiful rich color and nice supple leather. The Pallas doorpanels have been done in the same material. The interior really feels and smells new because the carpets and the headliner have been replaced as well. It has a restored steering wheel and new automatic seatbelts for truly restored feel. It has modern, hidden speakers and a modern radio in the glovebox for decent sound.

The trunk has been reupholstered with the correct material and has re-plated hinges and hardware. The undercarriage has correctly been welded, seam-sealed and properly coated for protection against the elements. The hydraulic system? Completely new. Basically every part was replaced: Pump, Steering rack, 4 spheres, accumulator, all hoses and seals replaced, new fluid. 

The engine bay of the car has been restored nicely. With lots of new parts, plated hardware, a new spare wheel, New sound insulation and much more. The DX5 engine has been rebuilt and runs excellent. Great startup and idle. Thanks to fuel-injection it is and feels much quicker than the carburated DS's. It features a new, maintenance-free 123Ignition distributor, new waterpump, rebuilt alternator and starter motor. A new battery, new heaterbox and valve, new sparkplugs, coil, HT leads, fueltank, brake rotors, pads, fuelhoses, filter, exhaust system,
