Description
In 1949, Borgward presented the first German post-war design as a pontoon limousine, the Hansa 1500. The Borgward Isabella was the successor, elegant, sporty and very successful. The coupé of this model series was presented in February 1957. It was an attraction! The lines of the bodywork were beguiling, a lot of love went into the details. This two-seater was a direct hit and successful in export, not only in the USA.
Our Borgward Isabella Coupé was registered for the first time in Munich. The happy owner was a musician and singer at the Bavarian State Opera. The mileage of 132,000 kilometres is described by the current owner as correct. Today, the classic car is currently with the fifth owner and extensive technical work, including an engine overhaul, has been documented.
