The Austin Healey 3000 Mk. I was produced between 1959 and 1961. Under the bonnet, the Austin Healey 3000 Mk. I featured a 2.9 litre straight-six engine capable of producing up to 124 horsepower, which was mated to a four-speed manual transmission. This engine allowed the car to accelerate from 0-60mph in just 11.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 112mph.

First registered on 5th June 1961 this Mk. I original UK right hand drive Austin Healey 3000 is presented in resplendent red coachwork with matching red leather trim and carpets. A rare example with just three owners from new, the first owner was between 1961 and 1979, the second 1979-2000 and the third owner from 2000 to the present day. The car was restored comprehensively in 1981, with the underneath as good as it is on the top, described now as in very good overall condition it was featured in the Classic Car Magazine Calendar in 1979. In the history file a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate confirms all the numbers and dates are correct and the car boasts recent new tyres and battery. Further documentation such as service receipts from 1964 to 1966 and MoT's from 1984, 2000-2018 confirm the mileage to be correct at 59,651. A UK original car, unmodified with original gearbox and in splendid order this is a very desirable proposition for a sporty iconic British classic with all of the correct ingredients for values to remain strong. Supplied with hood, side screens and Tonneau cover.. Consigned by Mathew Priddy
