Introduction
The 2006 Aston Martin Vanquish S is a masterpiece of British automotive elegance and performance. This sports car embodies Aston Martin’s uncompromising vision regarding performance, style and luxury. Aston Martin introduced the Vanquish as the successor of the Virage series.
Vanquish history
The car was designed by Ian Callum and unveiled at the 2001 Geneva Motor Show. The prototype of the car was driven by James Bond in the film ‘Die Another Day’ from 2002.
The Vanquish was succeeded by the Vanquish S in 2004 and became the brand’s flagship car.
The Vanquish S has a timeless beauty that is immediately recognized by the true enthusiast. The body has flowing lines with perfectly curves and is made from lightweight aluminium, which reduces the car's weight and contributes to its impressive performance. The imposing front end is dominated by the distinctive Aston Martin grille, surrounded by sleek headlamps. The air intakes on the bonnet add an aggressive touch to the design, while the wide hips and streamlined rear convey a sense of speed and power.
Performance
Under the bonnet sits a hand-built, roaring 5.9-litre V12 engine. This powerhouse produces an astonishing 520 hp and 577 Nm of torque, resulting in a breathtaking acceleration. In addition, the sound of the V12 engine is like a sonorous symphony that will give you goosebumps every time you step on the gas. The Vanquish S accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just under 4 seconds and has a top speed of over 320 km/h. This makes the Vanquish S the fastest Aston Martin ever produced until the One-77 was introduced in 2008.
Interior
The ‘Kestrel Tan’ interior of the Vanquish S is a showcase of luxury and craftsmanship. The cabin is upholstered in the finest premium leather and finished with high-quality aluminium. The seats are comfortable and ergonomically designed, making long journeys a pleasure. This particular car features a rare and sought-after facelift dashboard.
The Vanquish S offers an excellent, refined balance between sporting performance and driving comfort. The advanced suspension technology provides impressive roadholding and steering precision, making the Aston ideal for winding mountain roads as well as relaxed motorway cruising.
Rarity and prestige
The Vanquish S has been produced in limited numbers (a total of 1,086 in total), making it a rare sight on the road. This adds to its prestige and appeal as a collector's item for car enthusiasts and petrol heads.
In essence, the Aston Martin Vanquish S is the embodiment of British refinement, sophistication, and performance. It is a car that not only captures the hearts of those who drive it, but also the admiration of all who see it. With its timeless design and powerful V12 engine, this car will always remain an icon in the automotive world.
About this car
This beautiful Aston Martin Vanquish S is a fine addition to the Brooks Classics inventory.
The Vanquish S has been always serviced by an Aston Martin dealer, and is therefore in excellent condition. It has recently undergone a complete gearbox overhaul at Aston Martin Hilversum.
The first owner had a sense of style; he fully customized the Vanquish S guided by his refined taste, which has paid off handsomely. The result is a particularly tasteful combination of an Obsidian Black exterior and a fully hand-stitched leather Kestrel Tan interior. This beautiful Aston Martin Vanquish S left the showroom of Kroymans in Hilversum on October 27, 2006 and has had just 3 owners since then. The car is in excellent cosmetic and technical condition, both outside and inside, even underneath.
