Description

Alfa Romeo Giulia 105/115 was produced between 1962 and 1977. There are so many variations of the Giulia that it can get a bit confusing for a lot of people (including us). But as with most classic cars, the early ones tend to have more beautiful details, while the later ones are perhaps more drivable and comfortable. Exterior: The car we have for sale here is an Alfa Romeo Giulia 1600 Super Berlina 105 Series with the extra Bollino d’Oro option. This means extra stainless trim around the top of the doors, a stainless-steel trim along the sills, and more exclusive-looking front signal lamps. There is also a chrome trim on the hood and an Alfa Romeo logo on the C-pillars.

The car is today in the same green “Verde Muschio” as when it left the factory back in March 1966, going to the first owner in Bologna, Italy. The car was repainted in 2003 when it received a full restoration in Germany. Today, 22 years later, the car still looks very nice, only showing very minor signs of wear. All rubber is in excellent condition, and all body panels on this car have a perfect fit.

You need to keep in mind that these cars had serious rust issues, and during their lifetime, they will have been restored. This Alfa Romeo Giulia 1600 Super looks as good underneath as it does on top, with only a very thin coating of wax to protect it from the rain. Today, the Giulia is rolling on stock wheels with Pirelli tires, but it would be easy to upgrade to a set of GTA wheels if you would prefer that.

Interior: Perhaps one of the best things about the Alfa Romeo Giulia 1600 Super is the feeling when you sit inside and look down at those beautiful instruments and that classic steering wheel. A typical Italian wood dashboard, along with a fully functional vintage radio, completes the perfect interior.
Up front, there are Recaro seats that have been upholstered in the same original material as the rest of the car. These seats are incredibly comfortable on long drives and also ideal for tall drivers, up to two meters should not be a problem. The headliner is in the original "snake bite" material. Every little detail inside the car sucha as door handles, switches, etc. is in perfect condition. From a safety perspective, there are headrests that are removable if you prefer a more classic look, and proper seat belts are fitted up front. When you lift the carpets in the trunk, you can immediately see that this is a very healthy Alfa Romeo.

Engine and mechanics: In 2003, at a mileage reading of 64,729 km, the engine and cylinder head underwent a complete rebuild. Today, the car has just over 83,000 km on the clock. At the time of the rebuild, all wearing parts were also replaced including all bushings front and rear, the exhaust system, and every component in the braking system.
When I purchased the car in early 2020, a full service was carried out, including replacement of the fuel lines, fuel pump, and all ignition components such as the coil, ignition cables, spark plugs, distributor cap, etc. Most recently, the car received an oil change and continues to run perfectly. Everything in the car works as it should, even the locks.

History: This Alfa Romeo Giulia 1600 Super Bollino d’Oro was originally sold new in Bologna, Italy. In 1986, it was sold for 700,000 Lire to Clarizia Giuseppe in Eupen, Germany. It later changed hands to a friend of mine, from whom I purchased the car in 2020 and brought it to Sweden.

The car comes with a thick binder of receipts documenting all work carried out over the years, along with the original handbook and Swedish registration documents. We've recently sold two of these to the USA, but we would be happy if this one stays here in Sweden.
