In 1993, the Porsche Boxster faced its first and biggest test: the public unveiling of the concept car at the Detroit Motor Show.

The visual appearance of the Boxster concept car shown in Detroit evoked images of the legendary 550 Spyder and the 718 RS 60 Spyder racing car.

A portmanteau of “boxer” and “roadster”, the Boxster name covers both the vehicle category and the boxer engine – the outstanding technical feature that had characterized the 356 since 1948 and the Porsche 911 since 1963.

Grant Larson, today Director Special Projects, was responsible for designing the concept car.

The 25th Anniversary Limited edition is restricted to 1,250 units worldwide and is based on the GTS 4.0 model, which is powered by a 4.0-litre six-cylinder boxer engine with 294 kW (400 PS).

It makes reference to numerous design features of the 1993 Boxster concept car.

ABOUT THIS SPECIFIC EXAMPLE

This 2022 Porsche Boxster is one of 1,250 25th Anniversary Edition examples produced for the model year, and it was purchased new by the Porsche Club Westfalen, Germany Vice President Mr. Boris Jankiewicz.

The car went to Holland with only 1,100 kilometers on the clock and has not yet been registered in Holland and therefore still carries the German registration.

This Boxster 25th Anniversary is an absolute amazing example in as new condition and finished in the nicest color combination.

It features the same specs than the Boxster prototype presented in 1993.

In keeping with the style of the historic original, the special model combines a Bordeaux leather interior with a red fabric convertible top.

The convertible top bears embossed Boxster 25 lettering.

A Porsche Boxster 25 Years can be recognized by the copper-colored alloy wheels that come from the first Boxster.

The front spoiler, air intakes and lettering are also copper-colored on this model.

As standard, this model comes with a red-colored soft-top.

CONDITION EXTERIOR

A car with such a low mileage or actually a collectors car with such a low mileage is off-course in a brand new condition.

Not just in terms of mileage, the overall condition of the car is like new, with no signs of use.

We have not been able to find imperfections on the paint such as scratches or dents.

This car certainly is in a brand new condition without any signs of use.

The wheels are all undamaged. The windows do not show any scratches or stone chips.

CONDITION INTERIOR

Due to the extremely low amount of Kilometers which the car has driven, the condition of the interior is absolutely fabulous.

No signs of damages or wearing can be found.

The car is in as new condition interior wise.
