With the 996, Porsche opted for water cooling for the first time instead of the previously fiercely defended air cooling. The 996 therefore had to prove itself right from the start in order to convince even sceptics. Porsche dispelled any last doubts about the 996 model with the Turbo in this model series. The turbo engine was developed by Hans Mezger. His engines were prized for their robustness and durability. He was a pioneer of the motorsport department at Porsche!
The vehicle presented here was manufactured with special equipment features in the exclusive colour combination arctic silver metallic and a full leather interior in cinnamon brown. The surcharge for special equipment is approximately €20,000. The original order request for the new vehicle is available.
