History of the Porsche 911 2.4 E****

The Porsche 911, also known as the "Neunelfer" or simply the "Elfer", is probably Porsche's best-known sports car. The first 911 was presented in 1963 at the IAA in Frankfurt am Main as the successor to the Porsche 356 with the designation Porsche 901. The 911 is a typical 2+2-seater sports car. The first Porsche 911s are real men's cars. For example, they do without power steering or brake boosters. In the course of further developments at Porsche, the engine capacity grew from the original 2.0 litres in 1970 to 2.2 litres.  When the American state of California announced that it would only allow cars to run on regular petrol from 1972 onwards, Porsche reacted immediately and geared its product range to 91 octane. However, sports car buyers were not to be expected to accept less power, so the engine capacity was increased to 2.4 litres, which actually meant an increase in power. Of course, Porsche also tested the sportiness and reliability at almost all major events and used them accordingly for advertising.

The 165 hp variant in the E-model provides a lot of driving pleasure and the complete Porsche driving experience. After all, the well-fed horsepower has a comparatively easy time of it with a weight of around 1050 kg. The seats are comfortable, all-round visibility is perfect and the controls are hardly a mystery once you discover the ignition lock to the left of the steering wheel. In the rear, the air-cooled six-cylinder boxer engine saws and shrieks depending on the revs.

**History of the Porsche 911 E 2.4 Coupé on offer ******

This Porsche was first delivered in Paris on 01.06.1973 in its original colour "Gemini Blue Metallic". A Porsche certificate is available. Its trace is lost in France. According to the last English owner, a total of 3 previous owners were known in France before this Porsche went to England London to complete a collection of excellent left-hand drive German cars. In the meantime, this 911 E was restored and repainted in 2010-2011. At present this fantastic Coupé has English registration papers. This Porsche has always been maintained in England in an exemplary manner. A number of maintenance & service invoices are on file with the owner. We are selling this Porsche on behalf of the owner on consignment.

The paintwork of this vehicle is very good. During our initial inspection, we were unable to detect any rust or repaired accident damage. However, due to the vehicle's age, we cannot guarantee that it is accident-free, nor can we guarantee the mileage.

The technology such as the engine, gearbox, drive and brakes function perfectly, as do the electrics. The interior and the carpets are in very good condition. The vehicle has a pleasant touch of patina.

Notice:****

The mileage has been read and we cannot guarantee the actual total mileage on such an old vehicle. This offer is subject to change and subject to prior sale. Before delivery, we offer (for a separate fee) a major inspection, during which the technology, i.e. engine and gearbox, chassis, axles, brakes are serviced again, all fluids are changed and all functions are checked. For German customers, we also offer a new MOT, including acceptance as a classic car, as well as support with registration in Germany, appraisals, etc. In Europe transport in a closed trailer, in addition we arrange container shipping for the rest of the world.
