This stunning 1982 Mercedes-Benz 380 SL was originally sold in Dallas, Texas, during the years when the famous TV series Dallas was at the peak of its popularity. At that time, this model was considered a status symbol, representing luxury and exclusivity among American billionaires.

The car comes with all its original documentation, including the owner’s manuals and the factory-issued booklets provided at the time of sale. The warranty and service booklet confirms that the car was meticulously maintained by the same official Mercedes-Benz dealership in Dallas from its first service in 1982 up until 91,000 miles in 1991, ensuring its outstanding condition and reliability.

Certification and Restoration

In 2017, the car was imported and registered in Italy for the first time.

Later, in 2020, it underwent an inspection by the ASI commission, obtaining the prestigious Targa Oro certification, a recognition reserved for historically significant vehicles in top original condition.

Recently, the owner decided to convert the car from the U.S. version to the European version, replacing the front and rear bumpers as well as the entire lighting system, giving it a sleeker and more refined European look.
