1952 | Mercedes-Benz 300 Cabriolet D

The Mercedes-Benz 300 Cabriolet D offered here was produced for the American market and delivered to Hoffman Motor Company in New York on 11/14/1952. In 1982 it was purchased by Roy Shields in Illinois. In 1989, it then began its journey to a Japanese museum in Osaka. Since it served exclusively as an exhibit during this time, it was never registered in Japan.

In 1996, the car was finally purchased by an American dealer and exported to Germany. There it was uncompromisingly restored in the same year. Of this, we have all the invoices and photo documentation, which demonstrate the detail and care of the restoration. The vehicle was appraised in 2019 by Classic-Data and the condition was accordingly rated with the grade 1-.

Thus, it presents itself even today in a technically flawless condition knows how to inspire with its imposing, yet elegant appearance. A rare convertible with statesmanlike character, which is gladly moved on quiet country roads in beautiful weather and thereby gives a lot of pleasure.
