1980 | Ford Escort 1600

What an excellent find this has been. Here in Ford country we love a MK2 Escort. Ok its not an RS2000 but its probably half the price and even rarer to see on the road today, especially in this amazing condition.
No expense spared in making sure this is one of the best 1600 Sports on the market.

Full internal, external and mechanical restoration has been done. Including

• Full professional paint job in its original colour - Bermuda Blue.
• Replacement glass fitted all round
• New wing mirrors
• New wipers and blades
• New front door window guide bars fitted
• 4 x Cibie LED spotlights fitted
• New rubber seals on all windows doors etc
• 13" Ultralite alloys and tyres
• New headlights, rear lights and indicators
• Ford mudflaps fitted
  Inside had the following done
• New fibreglass dash top
• New fibreglass rear parcel shelf
• Seats refurbished
• New carpet
• New headlining
• Sun visors refurbished

As part of the restoration the car also had a mechanical overhaul including

• Engine stripped and head converted to unleaded and skimmed, new head gasket etc
• New water pump, alternator, battery, manifold, leads, radiator, thermostat, hoses, rocker cover, air filter, carburettor etc
• Gearbox rebuilt with new clutch
• HPE full stainless steel exhaust system
• World cup cross member
• New steering rack and arms
• New front dust guards
• English rear axle fitted
• New front discs and pads, new rear cylinders
• Replaced bearings all round
• Bilstein rear shock absorbers
• Currently has 1" lowering blocks fitted

As you can imagine it drives incredibly well and is great fun!

Registered as historic so ULEZ compliant and MOT & road tax exempt.

This vehicle will be supplied with an oil and filter service carried out, an MOT where required and 3 Months nationwide Autoguard warranty with option to extend.
