Some people will immediately recognise this iconic Volvo and reminisce about the great series The Saint with Roger Moore driving a white Volvo 1800 S. With the introduction of the Volvo P1800, Volvo brought forth a very handsome car with a sporty appearance in 1960. Production of this Volvo ran from 1961 to 1973. Pelle Petterson was responsible for the design. With this design, Volvo set the tone and it became clear that Volvo was venturing into the sports car segment.

The specimen we offer here is a 1964 Volvo P1800S. This fine P1800S was restored in the past and still bears witness to the fine job they achieved. The overall appearance is quite breathtaking. The bodywork makes a solid impression. The doors produced that typical Volvo sound and feel good. Looking at the rubbers, we can conclude that they look fresh, as do the bumpers and the beautiful hub caps. The red body colour is in good condition for an older restoration, and the colour perfectly enhances the lines of its sporty body.

The interior presents itself very well, with the seats, door panels, and all controls looking in good shape. The same applies to the carpet and headliner. The gauges are a feast for the eyes in this type. We can confidently say that these gauges are small works of art and are also in very good condition. We also find a Blaupunkt radio in the interior.

The fine carburettor B18 engine delivers a very pleasant ensemble and with 115 hp, you are bound to make a good impression. This specimen benefits from the older restoration because the overall feel is very solid and the engine runs smoothly. The gearbox operates smoothly, as do the steering and brakes.

This P1800S comes with a file full of documentation including (workshop) manuals and the original brochure. The car is equipped with a Dutch license plate, and because the last owner has maintained the car very well, it is ready for use!
