1992 | Porsche 928 GTS

The Porsche 928 burst onto the scene in 1978 and became the first (and still the only) sportscar to win European car of the year award. The 928 was continually developed until reaching the S4 in 1987, which would stay in production until 1991. The 928 S4 is powered by a 5.0 litre V8 engine, producing 316bhp and 317 lb-ft of torque, which provides effortless acceleration and a top speed of 165mph. The 928 S4 was also one of the most technologically advanced cars of its time, with features such as ABS, airbags, and an advanced suspension system. Its timeless design, with its low profile and smooth lines, has aged exceedingly well and is still highly regarded by car enthusiasts across the globe.

This example has been in the ownership of our vendor since 2014 and was taken to JZM Porsche in November 2024 for a major service, brake fluid change, refurbished power steering pump and air conditioning re-gas with the bill totalling more than £2,000. This 928 also had over £4,000 spent on it in 2015 on a full service, replacement steering rack, new alternator and drive belt, full air conditioning service and various other miscellaneous jobs. The service book contains 14 stamps up until 2005, by which point the car had covered 80,000 miles, showing very consistent and regular servicing. The car presents is useable condition throughout but would now benefit from some cosmetic attention in areas to bring it up to the next level. Supplied to auction with a history file containing the owner's manual and service book, invoices, a V5C registration document and an MoT test certificate valid until January 2026.
