Description

Hawk has built an enviable reputation recreating beautifully engineered AC-inspired cars that are widely acknowledged as being the best in the business.

Gerry Hawkridge, the founder, is also so widely acknowledged as an expert on AC cars.

This Hawk was built by a retired aircraft engineer, and you can see from the standard of the build, that he was both proficient and exacting.

The present owner and collector, bought the car, understanding that focus had been given to the build and finish of the chassis and body, but that this Hawk would benefit from further development.

Hence, he sent the car to the car of Project Shop in Bicester, who got to work, by stripping and refreshing the Triumph straight 6-cylinder engine, a perfect partner for the Hawk AC Ace.

The triple weber carburettors are now fed by a high output fuel pump.

The oil system was fully checked, and a baffled sump fitted in case of the odd prestigious track day at Goodwood or similar.

Work also included, creating a dashboard as similar as possible to the original AC Ace, crafting door handles that again have the look and feel of the originals.

A new set of Smith dials were fitted, with the speedo featuring a digital mileometer.

The car looks super cool in its bottle green livery and is ready to be enjoyed.
