The BMW E31 is the first generation of the BMW 8 Series. It is a grand tourer built by BMW from 1990 to 1999 as a two-door coupe, powered by a V8 or V12 engine. Although it replaced the original E24-based 6 Series in 1990, it was not a direct successor, but a new model class with a significantly higher price and performance than the 6 Series.
This BMW was delivered in the 850i version, and a BMW connoisseur immediately knows that this is the wonderful V12 engine, what a pleasure that 5-liter with 299 HP is, a wonderful grand tourer with enough power to drive to at night. Switzerland to drive on the autobahn.
The first owner ordered the car in a unique specification, Alpinweiss exterior with a blue leather interior, a color combination that we don't see everyday but definitely benefits the car. Moreover, the Aplinweiss paint is 90% original and in fact only one panel has been given new paint after minor damage. This only comes to light after measuring the paint thickness, the difference is not visible.
The car has always been cherished. For example, we have the original oil tickets up to 36,222 km, and therefore proof of the mileage, and a check handle has also been kept, which once again confirms the good care. The last Dutch owners have continued the good care, for example, in May 2023 €3750 was invested in maintaining the car, and in October 2023 the air conditioning pump was overhauled, so the car now blows wonderfully cold air.
The overall condition of the car can be described as very well cared for, and it drives like that. What a pleasure to drive this car.
