Description
History – Our Porsche Kardex Data Sheet reveals that this 1967 Porsche, bearing chassis number 307664, rolled off the production line in February of that year. Initially ordered by Mr. Stephen Perlbinder of Bea-Tay Corporation in New York, it arrived in the United States in March 1967. The data sheet highlights the car's high specifications for the period and confirms that our fully restored example retains its original matching numbers for the chassis, engine, gearbox, and body frame. This remarkable vehicle was featured in an article by Adam Wright for American Porsche 911 Magazine. Wright noted that the car was once considered for parts mixing with another vehicle before being salvaged and transported to Germany for restoration. The restoration process is comprehensively documented, including numerous restoration invoices, videos, and culminating in a stunning glossy presentation book that showcases the car's transformation.
Exterior – Finished in the elegant Slate Grey (Schiefergrau), color code 5501B, this 1967 Porsche boasts a glossy, high-end finish that is a testament to the meticulous restoration process. The restoration images below confirm the extensive work undertaken to achieve this stunning look. The Kardex Data Sheet confirms that the original owner specified front fog lights, front and rear bumper protectors, and the now-iconic Fuchs alloy wheels, all of which have been carefully restored or replaced to maintain the car's authentic appearance.
**Interior **– The Kardex lists a number of interior options that looks like the first owner was targeting the S model, but without the higher powered engine. The correct combination of immitation and full leather have been applied to the restoration, along with the correct wooden steering wheel and loud speaker antenna. Sadly, the original Blaupunkt radio gas been replaced with a period appropriate model which still looks the part. * The currently indicated 3,728 kilometers are what was registered on the original MPH tachometer.
**Engine & Transmission – **Supporting invoices confirm that we are offering a complete engine and gearbox overhaul of both factory fitted units: engine number 911 396 and 4 speed Gearbox number 200264-902-0. Along with dozens of invoices it’s all neatly displayed in the cars phot—album presentation book.
Wheels & Tyres – The wonderful Fuchs alloy wheels are beautifully restored and are housed within Vredestein 165/15 new tyres.
