1989 Land Rover defender 90 factory V8 with hardtop

If you do not know yet, we at Carcave love these defenders. Finding and restoring the v8's is our passion and also our strength.

We always start with original left hand drive V8 with the 24G code engine ( 3.5 v8 rover as they where originally delivered) and the original chassis.

So we start from a correct, solid and unmolested base.

The example we are presenting has been mechanically overhauled 5 years ago with :

Fresh new paint

New interior

New rims and BF goodrich all terrain tyres

New swivels

Revised steering kolom

Brakes ( discs front and drums in the back as original)

Exhaust

Big maintenance for engine and gearbox

etc...

The original carbs have been taken off and the 3.9 injection has been installed. But This is a 3.5 engine as she should be.

She is registered as a classic car in Belgium and is allowed the extra seats in the back.

This defender can also easily be turned into a convertible with a soft top and a new back door.
