Description
For sale is an exceptional Lancia Aurelia B24-S Cabriolet, one of only 521 examples ever built, which was originally delivered in Turin, Italy, on February 11, 1957. Originally finished in blue (Colore Bleu) with black leather interior (Selleria Pelle Nera), the car now presents itself in a stylish muted green with classic black leather, highlighting its elegant character.
The history of this Lancia is as fascinating as its technical finesse. The original Italian vehicle registration document records its first delivery in Turin, where the car remained for its early decades. According to English registration records, the Aurelia Cabriolet journeyed to England in 1997, where it was registered under the license plate ESJ 534. In 2015, the car was sold by Lukas Hüni AG to its current owner in Germany.
Since then, the car has been lovingly cared for and driven in Germany. In 2020, the current owner commissioned a comprehensive appraisal by renowned expert Klaus Kukuk, confirming the excellent condition and authenticity of the vehicle with a grade of 2+ (very good). The only deviation is that the engine does not match the original numbers, though this does not detract from the allure of this unique classic.
This Lancia Aurelia B24-S Cabriolet stands out not only for its rare origins and well-documented ownership history but also for its outstanding maintenance. As a valuable collector's item and timeless classic, this car is an absolute highlight for any enthusiast of historic automobiles. Take advantage of the opportunity to acquire a piece of automotive history that has been lovingly preserved and cared for over decades

History of the series
The Lancia Aurelia B24-S is a milestone in automotive history and is considered one of the most beautiful and innovative sports cars of the 1950s. Built from 1954 to 1958, the B24-S is the convertible version of the legendary Lancia Aurelia series, designed by Vittorio Jano and known for its technical innovations. The Aurelia set new standards in automotive engineering and was a pioneer of many modern developments.
The B24-S was powered by a 2.5-liter V6 engine, producing around 110 horsepower and delivering smooth power that perfectly suited the combination of sporty driving pleasure and elegant cruising. The engine was paired with an innovative transaxle layout, where the transmission and differential were positioned at the rear axle to achieve balanced weight distribution. This resulted in outstanding handling, making the Aurelia one of the best driving machines of its time.
The "S" in the B24-S designation stands for "sinistra" (left) and distinguishes the model from the right-hand drive version. The body of the B24-S was designed by the famous Italian coachbuilder Pininfarina. The elegant design of the convertible, with its flowing lines, low beltline, and open top, made it one of the most coveted vehicles of its era. The B24 models are often divided into two main categories: the "Spider America," a purist version with minimal equipment and removable side windows, and the later "Convertible," which featured more comfort elements such as crank windows and was intended for the European market.
The Lancia Aurelia B24-S convertible is also appreciated for its role in popular culture, including its appearances in films and its association with the jet set of the 1950s. It was a symbol of luxury, elegance, and a sporty lifestyle, loved by film stars, artists, and celebrities alike.
In total, only about 521 units were produced, making the B24-S one of the rarest and most sought-after Lancia models. Today, the Aurelia is highly prized by collectors worldwide and is regarded as one of the most beautiful open sports cars of the post-war era. With its unique combination of technical innovation, Italian design, and sporty elegance, the Lancia Aurelia B24-S remains a fascinating piece of automotive history.
