Exceptional Jaguar E-Type Roadster V12, Series III in a sought-after color combination
The vehicle was delivered new to Southern California where it has spent much of its life. In 2012 it was registered in Arizona.
According to the Heritage Certificate, the E-Type was originally delivered in Sable (beige/brown) and was completely dismantled and repainted black in the early 2000s. The interior fittings and soft-top correspond to the delivery color.
In 2014 the vehicle was delivered to Germany via Holland to its last owner, a classic car collector, who has carried out numerous upgrades and restoration work to bring the car to its current condition. The invoices for the work totaled over 40,000 euros. The German E-Type specialist Marcus Kümpel from Rödermark near Frankfurt has completely overhauled the engine. At this point, pistons, bearings, and cylinder heads were rebuilt and the electric ignition, oil pumps and water pumps were replaced. In addition, a high-torque starter, an improved radiator, a heavy-duty steering gear and modern air conditioning and a leather steering wheel from Moto-Lita were installed. Also worth mentioning are Euro-spec stainless steel bumpers, a new soft top, new chrome wheels, a new stainless steel exhaust system with new exhaust headers (fan headers) and a complete overhaul of the braking system. It is equipped with a modern stereo system and modern seat belts.
With the re-import to Europe, the speedometer was changed from Miles to KM. The original miles are not known. The current KM status is 28,500, whereby it can be assumed that a used speedometer with approx. 25,000 KM was installed, because the TÜV report from December 4th, 2014 (immediately after import) confirms 25,159 KM. Accordingly, the vehicle has not run 3,500 km since 2014 and after the engine overhaul.
The E-Type starts immediately and has excellent, extremely sporty handling.
