Description
JAGUAR MKII 3.8 ltr. with matching numbers
The premiere of the MK 2 was in 1959 and as a 3.8 ltr. it was the fastest production sedan in the world for many years.
This beautiful JAGUAR MKII was built on November 26, 1965, delivered to the Swiss Jaguar importer Emil Frey in December 1965 and handed over to the first owner, Dr. D. Dressler, who registered it in January 1967.
The MK 2 was delivered in Opalescent Dark Green with Tan leather, and in 1975 the MK 2 was imported to Hamburg in Germany by the identical owner Dr. Dressler, who moved to a new home.
It was not until 2000 that the 1st owner sold his MK 2. During this time, the MK 2 has always been maintained regardless of the cost, the bodywork has been restored and the original engine and technology have been overhauled. Photos and numerous invoices are available.
During the restoration, the exterior color was changed from Opalescent Dark Green to British Racing Green and the interior to Suede. Over the years between 2003 and 2022, the MK 2 has had 6 owners in Germany. Each owner has had the MK 2 regularly serviced and repaired. Sufficient invoices are also available here.
A power steering system from the Jaguar XJ Series 3 and a 4-piston brake system have been installed. Both make the MK very safe and precise when driving fast. An air conditioning system was also installed. Lastly, the original pads (present) were replaced with the visually very harmonious and popular Coombs pads (note: Coombs was one of the first and very successful JAGUAR racing team owners and racing drivers of the 1960s) and the air filter housing (present) was replaced with open K&N air filters.
The original toolbox, which is located in the spare wheel, is present.
The high-torque 3.8 l engine, which was also installed in the E-TYPE from 1961, harmonizes perfectly with the JAGUAR 4-speed manual gearbox which has replaced the earlier Moss box. The overdrive minimizes the revs and protects the engine during brisk driving.
With the chrome-plated spoke rims and its sporty and harmonious shape, it will forever remain one of the most beautiful limousines of all time and here as you imagine it, in a perfect and very matching color combination.JAGUAR MK 2 ingood and solid condition with Machting Number is very hard to find, here is one.
