1964 | Hillman Minx Super

We are very happy to offer this exceptionally rare Hillman Super Minx Cabriolet, finished in Foam White with red leather and contrasting black roof and red carpets, the car is on a set of white wall tires and has the original chrome wheel covers, this is really a candy and it goes back to the late 50's the car is from 1964, when life might have been a bit simpler, but also more glamorous, you can see that in the model a four person convertible, for ‘ the common man ’. That is why it has become a very rare car. The Rolls and Jaguars have always been carefully preserved. This car with the steering wheel on the European side was thrown away, so now it is extra rare. The Hillman Super Minx convertible with steering wheel on the left is a exceptional  model. A total of about 3,576 copies of the Hillman Super Minx convertible (1962-1964) were built. Unfortunately, there is no specific information on how many of them were left-hand drive, as Rootes Group usually did not keep exact figures of the number of left versus right-hand drive models.. Since most Hillman cars were sold in the UK, most models were probably delivered with the right-hand drive. Left-hand drive models were mainly exported to markets such as Europe and North America, but in relatively limited numbers.. In general, you can assume that only a small part of those 3,576 convertibles were left-hand drive, making this left-hand drive version quite rare these days.. My husband owned this car for over forty years ... unfortunately all the fun comes to an end and we have to sell the car. The car has been parked inside since. A car that you don't see often and has fun for 4!.
