This Bentley R Type Continental recreation was based on a 1953 Bentley R-type chassis and mechanical components.

The chassis, engine, gearbox and all the other original components were fully restored and overhauled to the highest standards and finished to perfection. The aluminium bodywork was handcrafted by the craftsmen of Racing Green Engineering following the example of the original shape of the R Type Continental design by H.J. Mulliner. The original R Type Continental was presented in 1952 and produced until 1955. Only 208 examples were originally built by Bentley. The R Type Continental redefined the post war Bentley and it is one of the most impressive motorcars ever conceived. The Continental was built with a strict target weight of 1750kg: in 1950 no tyre existed which could sustain a heavier weight at 115mph+.

The 4566 cc R Type straight six engine runs smoothly and powerfully, and the fully synchronized R Type four speed gearbox shifts perfectly. The interior is upholstered and finished using the finest leather, wool, and walnut wood.
