2003 | Alfa Romeo 156 3.2 V6 GTA Sportwagon

A genuine EU continent model manufactured in June 2003, external colour Blu Metallico, original and still great-looking with few age-dependent paint chips, internally having all-black leather seats and door trims. First time registered February 2004 in Japan before being re-exported in 2016 to the EU at some 57,000km and having been in my proud possession since June 2020 at less than 58,000km.

As our summers only car, I have focused on conserving its still rust-free underbody, body interior and engine bay, an Alfa Romeo workshop regularly servicing the car including annual servicing with oil change each fall before winter hibernation despite only 4-8,000km annually driven. Timing belts, water pump etc. was replaced last time in April 2021 at 65,000km. I also improved the cars suitability for more leisurely handling the often bumpy roads, we drive during our long summer trips, by replacing the car’s shorter Eibach springs with new stock AR 156 SW GTA springs and raising the front. (Easily reversible, Eibach springs included).

NB. The car may at some time have been fitted with an Alfa Romeo Q2 or Quaife LSD (limited slip differential). At least the car steers through corners and curvy back roads like a GTA with LSD. However, since the LSD has not been documented in the service notes from Japan nor later, I did not list a Q2/Quaife LSD as installed.

I sell the car only because our winter car, an Alfa Romeo 166 3.2, has proved more comfortable for our long summer trips too. Less sporty driven than the SW GTA, but more relaxed for retired persons like us ;-)
