This limited-edition model was created to celebrate Subaru’s 40th anniversary and their third consecutive FIA World Rally Championship manufacturers' title.

All 399 units sold out within just 48 hours of their release. Each 22B features a unique number plate on the center console – though the existence of #13/400 remains uncertain, as the number 13 is considered unlucky in Japan.

In addition to these 399 cars, three prototype 22Bs were built and gifted to Colin McRae, Nicky Grist, and David Lapworth of Prodrive Racing, bearing the #000/400 designation. In 2024, McRae’s personal 22B was auctioned for £480,500. Another #000/400 prototype – the official press demo car – is now displayed in the STI Gallery in Tokyo.

A Rare Opportunity The vehicle presented here was originally delivered in Japan, later exported to the UK, and eventually brought to the Netherlands. It is completely original, perfectly maintained, and in near-new condition both visually and mechanically. This is production number #063/400, making it one of the most sought-after Subaru models ever built.
