This exceptional 1964 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III is, without doubt, one of the finest examples available today. A true standout, it combines exquisite craftsmanship, impeccable provenance, and an unparalleled restoration.

This UK home-market car was first delivered to Middlesex on 12th May 1964 and still retains its original registration. It has been restored to an extraordinary standard by the renowned marque specialists Michael Hibberd Motor Engineers, with no expense spared. Completed just 6,000 miles ago, the restoration represents over £100,000 worth of work, with extensive invoices on file. Remarkably, this car has a warranted total mileage of only 89,000 miles and has had just four owners from new, further adding to its desirability. Specially ordered with rare Marshal side markers, the car retains many original factory features, including electric windows, grey safety harnesses, mirrors on both doors, a badge bar, and a GB plate. A wealth of documentation accompanies the car, including its original buff logbook, build records, and a complete tool kit.

Finished in a striking two-tone combination of Astral Blue over Shell Grey, this Silver Cloud III exudes timeless elegance. The interior is trimmed in light grey Connolly hide, complemented by Royal Blue woven carpets, and features elegant whitewall tyres with highly polished wheel trims and hand-painted coach lines. Every piece of interior woodwork has been finished to a mirror-like standard, as has the impeccable chrome throughout. The attention to detail is simply unmatched, with the car presenting in a condition that can only be described as magnificent.

Originally retailed by Edwards & Co Bournemouth Ltd, the car’s ownership history further reflects its exemplary care. Its first owner, Mr Phillip Fine of Edgware, Middlesex, took delivery in May 1964. It was subsequently owned by Robert Austin England of the Lodore Swiss Hotel in Keswick in 1967, followed by Mr Peter Brock of Chalfont St Giles in 1976, before being acquired by its current custodian, Mr Anthony Atkins, in December 1999.

The restoration works, carried out by the RREC award-winning restoration house Michael Hibberd Motor Engineers, were comprehensive and meticulous. The bodywork was stripped to bare metal, all corrosion addressed, and new fabrication undertaken where required. Chrome components were removed, repaired, and replated to a mirror finish. The engine, suspension, brakes, transmission, and electric window motors were all thoroughly inspected, stripped, and rebuilt as necessary. Over ten years of work were invested in this restoration, highlighting the magnitude of effort and dedication involved.

Having dealt with this series of cars for over 50 years and handled many exceptional examples, we confidently state that this Silver Cloud III is the finest we have encountered. It promises its next owner years of unrivalled service, enjoyment, and pride of ownership—a true masterpiece of British automotive history.
