The Riley offered for sale is in a Project/ barnfind stage.

Bodywork

A new bodywork was handcrafted by a specialist in the Uk. For that a tubular supporting frame was built. After that a unique aluminium Body was crafted. The body is now completed,with some smaller work to be done. That includes floorpanels and a fastening mechanism for the trunk. Painting is required aswell.

For the Headlights original sourced Marchall Bugatti type Headlights with included indicators were mounted on used and modified Riley Conrods, a clever and interesting solution.

Chassis

A original Riley chassis was converted to a underslung type. The work carried out is done properly. All parts were laser measured to secure a straight chassis. The chassis narrows to the rear to follow the shape of the body. All changes were done following the riley books for building a special.

Brakes

Standard 13" Riley 12/4 brakes were used and CNC drilled for better airflow and weight saving. The shoes are already equipped with new pads glued on by a specialist company. Wires or brakerods are not included due to a bad and rusty state. They will need to be sourced otherwise or remanufactured. Pedals are included.

Engine

The engine is a 12/4 Riley 4 cylinder engine. All major components are included. The engine will need a recomissioning in complete. New boring is required aswell as new white metal bearings. Crank and Camshaft will require some work,but they seem to be usable. The Cylinder Head has a hole in the top water channel and will need some welding. the original valves, springs, tappets and other smaller parts are included.

Also included are 4 Amal carburettors. They are rare and give the engine some extra horses to play with.

Gearbox

A standard silent 3rd Gearbox is included in the sale.

It seems that there is no major wear on the theeth, but the gearbox will need a complete rebuilt aswell. All parts are included.

Instruments and dashboard

Some gauges are included in the sale, but the new owner has to source some on his own.

Documents

The projects includes no registration documents, but the originals can be sourced at the DVLA in UK. We can help getting these.

At additional costs we can help with building the engine and gearbox or help reconditioning before a final assembly on your own.

When interested a preselector gearbox can be swapped against the silent 3rd at extra costs.
